"American Boy" multi-media collage,18x24. 2022. Exhibited and sold (silent auction) at "Letters Up The Ladder" Louis Vuitton private art show. Held at Louis Vuitton Irving Office Building. (2024)
This collage was made to illustrate how I felt living in a predominantly white area for most of my life. I used passages from the book “How To Be Black” by Baratunde Thurston. Growing up I was often treated as the “token” black kid, and even though I didn’t realize it at the time, it ended up having a huge effect on how I perceived myself as a black person. This represents the journey that I have taken to uncover my true identity and heritage.

"Internal Discord" multi-media collage, 20x30. 2021. For the In Relation To: Acculturation, Identity, Money and All of our Steez. Held in the University of North Texas Union.

A physical representation of how I deal with hardships in life and how I express myself through the pain. Dealing with themes such as masculinity and femininity, mental and physical health, as well as financial struggles, I wanted to create an artwork that shows light on these issues and says it's ok to not be ok.
