This shoot's goal was reimagining what a deity is, under our own terms as non-binary people and generally anyone who doesn’t fall into the normal heteronormative binary. This project challenges inherited images of God — typically white, male, and patriarchal — by envisioning a deity that reflects Blackness, femininity, and fluidity.
